By working together with other facilitators, we will hold space for the group by creating a nurturing and safe space where you have the chance to share your story, gain insights and enter the realm of your inner world while tapping into the coregulation aspect of the group, where you can rely on each other for support. This can reduce feelings of isolation and increase feelings of connection. When there is connection, we begin to heal.

One of the key advantages of group sessions is the opportunity to connect with others who are going through similar experiences. In a safe and supportive environment, you will have the chance to share your story and emotions.

About the group session

At Flourish, we offer customized Emotional Release group sessions designed to meet the unique needs of each group.

In collaboration with The Safe Space Club, my fellow Neo Emotional Release facilitator Celine de Winter and I created a session for a group of women who have been victimized by sexual violence.

While the structure of each session may vary based on the needs of the group, here’s an example of what you can expect from a typical Emotional Release group session:

  • Introduction
    The session will start with an introduction, where we will explain the principles of Neo Emotional Release, review the guidelines for participation, and answer any questions you may have.
  • Sharing Circle
    participants will have the opportunity to share how they’re feeling and what they hope to get out of the session. This can help to create a sense of connection and trust within the group.
  • Emotional Release
    We will guide the group into the session with various techniques designed to help the participants to meet their inner world and release emotional blockages. These techniques may include guided touching of certain pressure points, visualizations, breathing exercises, or mindfulness practices.
  • Closing Circle
    The session will end with a closing circle, where participants can reflect on what they’ve learned and share any final thoughts or insights. We may also provide resources for further support or self-care.
  • Optional
